Well rather than talking about some random nothingness, I figure I would actual update about my life….

Today Jay and I went out shopping. We received out HST cheque. (Which is some extra money the government is throwing at us to make up for the fact they’re raising the taxes… but who am I to complain? :)) I’ve been wanting a camera for a very long time, ever since mine broke last year. But that’s a want…. and there are things we need more. So today we splurged and got a new monitor. It was something we needed since I was spending 10 min at a time hitting the old one to get it to work. We went to 4 different stores and the last one we went to (The Source) had one for $99. It’s actually really nice, and 18 inch I think? But it really got me thinking and my newest project… Project Camera

Pretty much I’m going to be scrounging, budgeting, and saving for a new camera. It’s something I really miss having. I miss taking pics of the boys and pets. I also really want to start vlogging as well. So my game plan is:

• Set aside $25 – $50 every pay
• Collect all the change in the house (and there is a lot!)
• Sell a few things on Ebay and Kijiji
• Try to lower our monthly bills by another $100
• No extra purchases or fast food!

Money has always been something I’ve struggled with, especially saving. But I think this will be a great learning point. I’ve learned a lot over the last few years and have gained some good skills. Time to put them to the test.

As for what camera I’m getting… I’m not 100% sure. I’m still doing a lot of research. But I looked around a lot today and to get something with the features I want I’m looking at about $250. So wish me luck and I’ll keep you posted. Well that’s about it for now, I closed at work tonight and have to be there again first thing in the morning so I’m off to sleepy land. Night everyone.

Where to start? Well this isn’t anything Academy Award winning but this is a great fun movie. Made in 1988 I watched it as a kid. Watching it again recently was just as fun.

It’s set in the Valley. Valerie is a engaged nail technician who has a UFO land in her pool. Three aliens emerge and the fun continues from there. It’s definitely a corny romantic comedy. And very 80s hehe. But it has a really cute love story to it, plus some catchy songs.

So if you’re looking for something silly and very retro, check this one out.

Well it’s June, which means summer is pretty much upon us. One downside to summer…. nothing on tv! So I’ve decided to start a summer watching list. You can view it here.

I’m a huge movie fan. Mostly horror and drama, but really I’ll give anything a try.  So this is going to be a list of movies I want to watch over this summer. Once I have the chance I’ll add trailers and hopefully some small reviews.

Also if anyone has any suggestions please comment! I’ll give anything a try. It could be a new movie or an old one. It could be even something I’ve seen before. So get suggesting hehe. Til later byes for now.

Well this past Sunday my family and I went to the Trek 4 Kids. It’s a marathon which raises money for kids to go to camp. My son Darien is going to camp for his second time this summer because of programs like this.

It was a great experience. We did the 5k walk…. which tired me out. But I’m hoping next year to go even further.

I’ve actually thought about taking some of my old tees and cutting them up into cute shirts. I just hate how tight they can be around the neck, and there are some good videos online on how to do that. Hmmm… feeling creative.

It’s now 1:40 in the morning, so if this isn’t too coherant, I’m sorry.

I just can’t sleep. So much stuff has been going on lately and I just really feel the need to rant it all out. I know I usually don’t blog about personal stuff, but hey, it’s my blog lol.

Pretty much money sucks. It sucks even more when there is a lack of it. I’ve been working at a pet store for over 2 years now. When I applied I wanted full time. I was told I would start off as part time, which was fine with me. Over the past 2 years my hours have gone down, more and more each week. Next week I have two 3 hour shifts! Argh…… Now I know a lot of it has to do with some new scheduling, and a lot of people are pissed. But six hours? I won’t even make enough to cover groceries for that week!

Now please don’t get me wrong, I know I’m lucky right now to even have a job. But still I can’t help but be freaking out a bit. And it’s not just that, things are hard all the way around. Jay (my husband) got laid off last year. He was at his company for 11 years and they shut down. He was able to get another job (thank god) but of course is making a lot less than before. It’s really starting to catch up with us. Right now my biggest fear is that we may have to sell our home. We bought it 2 years ago when we were both working and things were good. But so much has gone on since then.

I am looking for a second job. As much as my current one lives me disgruntled, I’m not about to quit any source of income. It’s just nerve racking to go through this process all over again, and find something that will work around my current job, Jay’s work schedule, and taking care of the boys.

Bah…. anyways that’s my little rant for now. I’m going to drink more coffee and look for more jobs. I’ll be sure to post something more interesting soon. Nighty night all.

EDIT: Well after doing my nails and visiting GivesMeHope I’m feeling much better. Really there’s no where else to go but up. Thanks for tolerating my ranting hehe.

Ok, so I was watching BreakingNYC and they were talking to these site creators. Two of the sites that I checked out actually brought me to tears:

Now I find a lot of stuff on the net, mostly wastes of time (but entertaining wastes of time hehe) but these sites are amazing. Filled with inspirational stories about the size of a tweet. With so much crap in the world that is plastered all over the news, I found this truly refreshing. Definitely check these out!
